Engagement and Marketing Officers
Location: One person for each of the campuses: Ayr, Hamilton and Paisley
Time Commitment: 2-4 hours a week during the semester (more or less depending on the number of events we have running)
Overview: As the Engagement and Marketing officer, you will be promoting the Transition UWS projects, recruiting participants and volunteers for various roles, such as participating in cookery lessons, 'Come dine with me' type events, lower carbon living workshops.. You will also be promoting the various events Transition UWS runs.
Film maker
Location: can be based iin either Ayr, Hamilton or Paisley
Time Commitment: 2-4 hours a week during the semester (more or less depending on the number of events we have running)
Overview: To plan and organise the filming of cookery workshops or events. Edit an upload content on to UWS' channel on www.studentcooking.tv.
Swap Shop Organiser
Location: One person for each of the campuses: Ayr, Hamilton and Paisley
Time Commitment: Flexible. Around 5-10 hours in preparation for bigger events. Occasional meetings.
Overview: As Swap shop event’s organiser, you will be assisting the Transition UWS team in the preparation, publicising and running of regular swap shops to promote reuse and recycling, ultimately reducing waste.
Events Organisers
Location: One person for each of the campuses: Ayr, Hamilton and Paisley
Time Commitment: Flexible. Around 5-10 hours in preparation for bigger events. Occasional meetings.
Overview: As Events Organiser, you will be working alongside the Transition UWS project coordinator in developing ideas and organising and running various events to help engage members of the UWS community with the various environmental projects taking place.
Environmental Officer
Location: Several positions on each of the campuses: Ayr, Hamilton and Paisley
Time Commitment: 2-5hrs per week
Overview: Develop a management plan for either: waste, energy, transport or procurement for the Students' association. We are looking for students with some experience of auditing, either academic or practical, who are looking to gain further work experience.
Green Impact Auditor
Location: Several positions on each of the campuses: Ayr, Hamilton and Paisley
Time Commitment: 2-3 hours a week in February
Overview: UWS will be running an exciting new behaviour change program where departments compete against each other to see who can be the most environmental. We are looking for students to act as auditors. No experience necessary as you will receive training.
