World Aids Day - 1st December

Each year we raise awareness within the university and beyond of
HIV and AIDS through a red bake sale. All money raised goes to the Janek Latosinski Charitable Trust that help people with HIV and AIDs in the west of Scotland.

Equal Marriage

In Scotland Equal Marriage is not allowed, this means same-sex couples can not get married and a mixed-sex couple can not enter a civil partnership. Ever since the Scottish consultation on Equal Marriage ended last December we have been asking students to tell their MSP to support Equal Marriage. So far over 1000 UWS students have spoke out for Equal Marriage. Have you?

Standing Together Against Homophobia

An LGBT person is more likely to get stressed or stuffer from mental illnesses more than the average person. One ofthe reasons for this is direct and indirect discrimination. Therefore the NHS has decided a campaign to combat this. To find out more click the link below.
